Pallet has always been your home. A comfortable, small, quiet place is it. But you long for more. You sense something waiting for you outside the walls of this town, and you long to escape, to find what calls to, and to figure out why the townsfolk are always so superstitious.
After school one day, you take a quick trip to the library, a small stroll that leaves you feeling rejuvenated and ready to hunt for answers. You hit the books. For a long time, you find nothing answering your questions. Just as the library was preparing to close, you find it, hidden in the darkest corner of the library; Kanto: A Disastrous History.
You sneak it out of the library, heading home to settle down to read. You feel excited, eager to crack open the dusty book and learn what all the fuss is about. Snuggled in your warm bed at your house, you open the book, and embrace the words.
For anyone who reads this book, remember those who were lost in the events. This disaster will indeed happen again...but not if you, the reader, can help it.
